Energy transfer between ion cyclotron and whistler modes in Hall magnetohydrodynamic turbulence


Abstract eng:
Using the generalized Elsasser variables expansion, we investigated the energy transfer by the interaction between ion cyclotron and whistler modes in fully developed turbulence of an incompressible Hall magnetohydrodynamic plasma. Asymmetry of energy budget between the ion cyclotron and whistler modes, i.e., energy transfer which tend to break chiral symmetry is observed.
