One-dimensional flow of heat conductive gas in homobaric approximation

One-dimensional mathematical model of a confined gas flow is developed on the basis of uniform pressure approximation. Compressibility, heat conduction, boundary displacement and mass sources are taken into account. General solution is obtained for perfect gas in case of negligible convective heat transfer thanks to decoupling of energy equation. Explicit analytic solutions are found for a set of particular statements in planar, axial and central symmetries. The validity of the obtained solutions is demonstrated by comparison to corresponding numerical solutions of the full system of conservation equations. The approach is efficient for obtaining exact and approximate analytic solutions in terms of integral calculus.
