Balancing domain decomposition method on additive Schwartz framework

Abstract eng:
Computing performance of the balancing domain decomposition (BDD) method on additive Schwartz framework is described in this paper. BDD family is one of the most effective approaches for parallel computing of large scale structural finite element analyses. In the balancing domain decomposition by constraints (BDDC), the coarse grid correction procedure is applied in an additive manner, while it is applied multiplicatively in BDD. Here, BDD with additive Schwartz framework is implemented and computing performance is evaluated with numerical examples.
