Numerical Analysis on Compression Failure Mechanisms of Impacted Ncf Reinforced Composites
Abstract eng: This study investigates the compression-after-impact (CAI) failure in non-crimp fabric (NCF) reinforced composites. A numerical damage model based on continuum damage mechanics was applied to simulate the failure mechanisms of impacted NCF glass/epoxy composite subjected to compressive loading and to estimate the residual CAI strength.
