Geometrically nonlinear theory of micropolar elastic thin plates and shells


Abstract eng:
General geometrically nonlinear theory of statics and dynamics of single and multilayered micropolar elastic thin plates and sloping shells is introduced in this paper. Variation approach is developed for the constructed theory and specific problems of statics, stability and vibration for rectangular and circular plates and sloping shells are studied, specific properties of micropolar material are revealed.
