Prediction of frictional drag in the transitionally rough regime (INVITED)
Abstract eng: The goal of the study is to determine the scales that define the shape and extent of the transitionally rough regime. This is accomplished by testing rough surfaces with systematically altered surface statistics. Preliminary results are presented for a rough surface with scales that follow a power law spectrum.
