From the onset of electrospray and disintigration of leaky-dielectric drops to steady cone-jet


Abstract eng:
We describe the disintegration of a leaky-dielectric drop from the unsteady phenomenon giving rise to the first ejected droplet to the steady cone-jet mode of electrospray. We summarize the differentiated scaling laws of the two limiting regimes for the relevant quantities and show their validation from comparison with both numerical simulations and experimental data.
