Flow induced inhomogeneity for a polymer solution in oscillatory shear flow
Abstract eng: Flow-induced concentration inhomogeneities are often neglected in fluid mechanics studies of polymer solutions, but recent work has shown that they can often occur and may lead to major changes in the flow kinematics. In this work, we consider this phenomena for the simple model problem of large amplitude oscillatory shear flow (LAOS).
