Finite shear of thin-wall composite spheres
Abstract eng: We examine the mechanical response of a thin-wall composite sphere (TWCS) to moderate level of shear, within the framework of finite deformation elasticity. Results show very good correspondence between our proposed analytical solution and a numerical simulation carried out by FE method.
