Dynamic crack propagation in rubber


Abstract eng:
The dynamic energy release rates in rubber are investigated by use of a numerical model. The model is calibrated by use of experimental results, and the dynamic crack tip energy release rate is calculated. The outcome is found to be in good agreement with previous experimental results.
