On the effects of plasticity in hydraulic fractures

Abstract eng:
A yield surface composed of multiple yield functions, including tension cut-off and cap hardening modes, is proposed and implemented in a peridynamic framework. The model is incorporated in a hydraulic fracture simulator, allowing the influence of inelasticity in hydraulic fracturing to be investigated and compared to experimental observation.
