Simulation of fuel consumption in the 3rd generation mobile power stations

Abstract eng:
The 3rd generation mobile power sets operate at variable speed of the primary injection engine - generator aggregate dependent on their current loading. It results in relatively high saving of fuel in comparison with up-to-date mobile power sets operating at constant speed regardless of the actual loading. The simulation and the following measurements have demonstrated that the fuel saving can reach 10 % up to 40 %. The article deals with injection-engine modelling and analysis of simulation results.
