Optimalization of current tabs lay -- out of electrodes in a cylindrical type VRLA cells


Abstract eng:
The current distribution through the electrode system of lead-acid accumulator was determined mathematically for a cylindrical type cell. There were designed 3 type of electrodes differing by current tabs lay - out . Optimal appears to be the last designed type with equipotential current tabs. The results are presented in the form of 3-D diagrams for different states of discharge.
