Parallelization of fuzzy problems

Abstract eng:
The theory of fuzzy sets becomes still more popular in engineering problems where introduction of uncertainty is necessary or desirable. The theory of probability, which was exclusively used until recently, is sometimes awkward and there are difficulties in cases with lack of sufficient information which is needed for proper definition of probability distribution. In such cases, the theory of fuzzy sets is useful tool which describes uncertainty in input data by fuzzy numbers. A problem with fuzzy input data leads to fuzzy output data and whole computation should be rearranged with respect to fuzzy numbers. A popular and efficient method for solution of fuzzy problems is the method of -cuts which may be very computationally demanding. Simple parallelization of a computer code leads to ideal speedup and enables solution of relatively large problems.
