Hardware implementation of active magnetic bearing control


Abstract eng:
The previous research of control methods to control fast nonlinear systems was verified by simulation of control of an active magnetic bearing (AMB). A hardware implementation of control of the AMB is developed to verify the simulation results. Requirements to the implementation are modularity, easy assembling and availability of development tools for used microcontrollers. The hardware implementation of AMB is used to improve the model of AMB for future simulation testing of intelligent control methods.
