Using the residue theorem for computing of dynamic system response at impulse excitation

Abstract eng:
The time response of the linear dynamic system after the end of its force excitation can be investigate applying the Residue theorem without using the time-shifted Heaviside function. In the case of undamped dynamic system, there exists the simple reationship between the frequency spectrum of the forcing impulse and the amplitude of the free harmonic vibrations after the impulse stops. This method is available especially for the managing of vibration-less start or stop of movable systems. They can be even completely avoided if zero values of the frequency spectra of acceleration time function are placed to the natural frequencies of a driven system.
