CAD concept–visions in recent past and present reality
Abstract eng: This article deals with the importance of engineering activities and introducing computer support in the process of creating technical products. It speaks about their objectives and parts in engineering activities in the past of about 25 years period and reminds of long past ideas of future development after the year 2000. It compares the past and the present state, giving examples of use in routine design of engineering works, in engineering office, and in university practice. In conclusion it analyses present state and combines it with outlook of the near future.
