Overheating limit for the velocity measurement by CTA hot-wire anemometry

Abstract eng:
Paper deals with the velocity measurement by means of the CTA. Hotwire anemometry is based on the heat transfer from the hot wire to the fluid. Heat loss of the heated wire is characterized by two cooling parameters. Measurement of these parameters has been performed with a number of hot-wire probes. The overheating of each probe has a limit, which depends on its geometry.
