Simulation of an elastic structures vibrating in fluid


Abstract eng:
This contribution is focused on vibration of an elastic structure in incompressible fluid. Computer simulation of this problem in time domain is performed. Strong coupled partitioned approach for fluid-structure interaction, ANSYS software and non-stationary harmonic excitation are used. Response in time domain and lowest resonant frequency of the structure are obtained as results of the simulation. This method respect viscosity of fluid and large structural displacement.
