A half-car model with two independently driven axles is coupled to a simply supported bridge (truss, plate model) with the span from 5 to 50 m. Surface profile of the bridge desk is either stochastic or with a bump or pot in the mid-span. Numerical integration in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment solves coupled dynamic equations of motion with optimized truck suspensions. Rear axle generates prevailing load and highly determines bridge response. Semi-active damper significantly decreases road-tyre forces and in average reduces mid-span deflections of bridges when compared to the passive damper. 000004132 540__ $$aText je chráněný podle autorského zákona č. 121/2000 Sb. 000004132 653__ $$a 000004132 7112_ $$aEngineering Mechanics 2004$$cSvratka (CZ)$$d2004-05-10 / 2004-05-13$$gEM2004 000004132 720__ $$aŠmilauer, V.$$iValášek, M.$$iMáca, J. 000004132 8560_ $$ffischerc@itam.cas.cz 000004132 8564_ $$s414928$$uhttps://invenio.itam.cas.cz/record/4132/files/T-Smilauer-Vit.pdf$$y Original version of the author's contribution as presented on CD, . 000004132 962__ $$r4009 000004132 980__ $$aPAPER
